Not only was the testing course worthy of a championships but added to it was a stiff wind making it a very tough event.

We have now closed the office and relocated for this weekends Clumber Park Duathlon. The event is now full & we are not taking any entries on the day.
This years event will be the biggest in its history, with over 1100 entries traveling from all parts of the UK. Athletes racing in the ’standard’ distance will also be racing for championship honors in the British Triathlon Federation National Champs. Both events are acting as qualifying event for both European and World Championships for the Great Britain Age Group Team.

Our first multisport event of the 2015, The Clumber Park Duathlon has reached its capacity of 1100 athletes.
The duathlon, which also doubles up as the British Championships and Great Britain Age Group Team qualifying event, takes place on Saturday 21 March, Clumber Park, Worksop, Nottm.
There are no further entries available, including no on the day entries.
The start lists and final race information will be available very shortly.

At the 220 Triathlon Magazine Awards in Sandown Park, Iain was surprised and delighted to win the ‘Jane Tomlinson Award for outstanding contribution to triathlon’.
Jane Tomlinson, of course, provided inspiration to many many people as she battled through breast cancer to raise millions for charity through endurance sport and triathlon. To win an award in her name was a real honour.
Giving out the award, the team at 220 Triathlon highlighted some of Iain’s key contributions and achievements since first establishing One Step Beyond as part of a college project when he was 19 years old. » Read more…

Next weekend’s Saucony Cambridge Half Marathon (8 March) features 4,500 runners including the returning champions, Vicky Knight (Cambridge & Coleridge AC) and Aaron Scott (Notts AC).
The field features a high standard of club runners alongside fun runners and Cancer Research UK charity fundraisers. Knight won last March in a time of 1hour 17:43, whist Scott made an early impression and maintained a lead throughout the race to win the men’s title in 1hour 06:34. Clumber Park Duathlon on Saturday 21 March has now reached over 900 entries. The standard distance event, which is also doubling up as the British Championships has fewer than 100 entries available.
We recommend those wanting to be sure of a place in either the sprint 5k run, 20k bike, 2.5k run or the standard distance / British Championships 10k, 40k, 5k get their entries in quickly to avoid disappointment.

Congratulations to all of those that completed the ‘toughest’ Mud N Madness yet. Despite 14 very new & challenging obsticals, all designed to either stop, slow down & get everyone very muddy – over 500 completed the 8.5k course.
A provisional set of results are both the adult and junior events are on the main event page – see the yellow highlighted boxes on the right of the page.

Due to a clash of events, we have now exchanged the dates of the David Lloyd Lincoln Triathlon and Southwell Triathlon.
The David Lloyd Lincoln Triathlon, based at the David Lloyd Health & Fitness, Burton Waters will now take place on Sunday 3 May. And the Southwell Triathlon, Southwell Leisure Centre will now take place on Sunday 19 April.
Competitors that have already entered these events have been sent an email & have the option to change events or receive a refund.
The Midland Series will now start with the Southwell Triathlon followed by the David Lloyd Lincoln Triathlon and finishing with the Woodhall Spa Triathlon in June.
