Southwell Sprint Triathlon – Provisional results
After weeks of wet weekends, finally we return to our second home of Southwell for the Southwell Sprint Triathlon and the sun shines. On a fantastic day, with close to 650 competitors including over 200 novices and women, everyone had a great day, with overall winners Carl Shaw and Emilie Verroken showing everyone a clean pair of wheels & heels.

‘Zoot’ Club Relays – new sponsor confirms
The Club Relays has secured a headline sponsor, Zoot. The event, which started in 1991, is one of the most popular of the year, with clubs from around the country enjoying some highly charged triathlon racing in a festival environment.
The Zoot Club Relays incorporating the British Triathlon Club Relay Championships take place at the National Water Sports Centre, Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham on the August Bank Holiday weekend, 25-26 August. Around 2400 athletes are expected to take part, with many opting to camp on site. The event is a sell out every year and with entries having been launched last week, the Saturday afternoon event is close to half full, clubs are encouraged to enter their teams as soon as possible. » Read more…
One Step Beyond – appointed to organise BUCS Championships
We are delighted to announce that One Step Beyond has been selected as the organisers of the 2012 BUCS Standard Distance Triathlon Championship and Super Sprint Triathlon.
The ‘British Universities & Colleges Sports’ Triathlon Championships will take place on Sunday 27th May, at the National Water Sports Centre, Holme Pierrepont Nottingham.
The format of the day will start with an Elite Drafting Standard Distance women’s event, followed by a mass participation Super Sprint Triathlon especially for people new to triathlon, with the final event of the day being the Men’s Elite Drafting Standard Championships. » Read more…

Lincoln’s Andy Powell finished the Outlaw Triathlon in 9hours 53:49 last summer. He finished 6th overall and achieved a massive goal of finishing in less than ten hours – it was also his first long distance triathlon. This year he’s back, and aiming to go faster. TATA Kids Of Steel Series – starts with a bang
One Step Beyond delivered the first of a nationwide series of 24 Tata Kids Of Steel events yesterday on behalf of British Triathlon. The Tata Kids of Steel Series started in Newham, the 2012 Olympic Games host borough yesterday, with over 850 local school children from 15 schools taking part in the first of 24 events.
Over the five years that One Step Beyond has been delivering the series on behalf of British Triathlon the series has introduced over 35,000 children from nearly 400 schools across the UK to the sport of triathlon. » Read more…

Event two in the Midlands Series, the Southwell Sprint Triathlon takes place in less than 3 weeks. Please get your entries in quick, there are less than 150 places left and we have taken over 30 entries in the less 24 hours.
Fifty extra Outlaw Triathlon places – available now!
Fifty extra places for the Outlaw Triathlon in Nottingham on 1 July have become available for immediate entry now. All reserve athletes on the waiting list have already been given places. The event initially sold out in December, with all 1050 places being snapped up in record time.
The 2012 Outlaw will certainly be the biggest yet, with large crowds anticipated to cheer athletes around the fast course.
Entries are available in both individual and relay categories, and are expected to sell out rapidly. » Read more…

David Lloyd Triathlon nearly full – get your entries in quick
As the start of our triathlon season gets closer, our numbers are still increasing for the Midland Sprint Series.
The first event of the Series is the David Lloyd Triathlon based at Burton Waters Lincoln. We have 30 places remaining in the individual event and we only have 15 places remaining in the Series so get your entries in quick before we close the event at 9am on the 17th April. » Read more…
