ArticleOutlaw Training Camps Launched
January 11, 2010
Places for the Outlaw Triathlon training camps are now available to be booked online: Sunday 21st March or Sunday 16th May.
Places are limited and offer those who take part a unique insight to the specifics of the Outlaw and iron distance training and racing in general. The courses will be led by Simon Ward of TheTriathlonCoach.com, 220 Coach of the year 2009 and one of the UKs leading elite and age group coaches. You can find more information about Simon Ward and his coaching team by visiting their website TheTriathlonCoach.com.
The camps will take place at Holme Pierrepont, the start and finish venue for the Outlaw, on 21st March and 16th May – 20 and 12 weeks out from the event respectively.
Simon Ward said:
“The camps will familiarise athletes with the various aspects of the course, which looks like it could be super fast! We’ll also cover things like planning and fine tuning your training, nutrition and race strategy.
“Iron distance racing invariably requires athletes to overcome challenges throughout their training and preparation and on the day itself. Attending a camp will give athletes every opportunity to prepare themselves for success.”
Athletes will have the opportunity to try swimming in Holme Pierrepont Lake during the second camp, and both camps will incorporate elements of running and cycling as well. Based at Holme Pierrpont, the camps will familiarise athletes with how things will be set up when the Outlaw takes place on 8th August 2010. Places for the camps, and for the race are still available, but filling fast!
Make sure you are properly prepared when the Outlaw kicks off this August!

Dear OSB
I am interested in attending one of these, probably the May one. I have been going round the websites but can’t find where I actually register. Can you give me some guidance as I seem to be going round in circles between the two websites. Any news on price, priority/discount for entrants (!!).
My son would also like to be a volunteer. He has a fair bit of event helping experience for his age (15)and also want to go to Sharnbrook ( the school of Paula Radcliffe) followed by Loughborough. You can meet him at the TCR as he has entered the 10k. He has some hisrory at this event as well.
Cheers
Jack Rivers
PS will you be having any of the Outlaw kit at TCR and why nothing in “Lincoln Green”?
it would be nice to know the price of the camps without having to go to checkout !! how much are they !!
Hi Lee
Thanks for your feedback and sorry it isn’t clear to see the training camp details. Following your message we are now designing a seperate webpage dedicated to the training camps which we hope will be live by the end of the week.

Hi Jack
Thanks for your message and sorry it isn’t clear to see the training camp details. Following your message we are now designing a seperate webpage dedicated to the training camps which we hope will be live by the end of the week.
The May camp will cost £55.00 and will focus on Swim, Bike, Run, Nutrition & Program Planning with the option to swim in the afternoon.
Be good to meet your son at TCR and would definitely like his help volunteering at the Outlaw!
