We are currently looking to recruit someone to join our highly skilled and motivated team. We have a vacancy for a ‘communication coordinator‘, based at our offices in Gainsborough. You’ll be involved in various aspects of the business, mainly to increase the awareness within triathlon and running communities, increase entries, customer engagement and work with our commercial partners.

You’ll not be tied to the office, as getting out, meeting our customers at events and partners is also very important.

Behind the Scenes with OSB – Southwell Tri 2015

Every now & again we are asked what we all do each day, now that there are six people working at One Step Beyond - this is a short ‘behind the scenes’ blog from Steve Paley - Operations Manager.

“It won’t be any surprise that as soon as each event finishes we start looking forward 12 months to the following year’s event. So Southwell Tri 2015 started for us in May 2014 with the event debrief looking at what worked and what can be improved upon to make the experience for you the athlete better next time round. Then it’s a question of putting these suggestions and recommendations, which come from our awesome event crew and you the athletes, into practice.

What an event 2015 was, from behind the scenes the plan that we put in place worked, well almost! It was different for us this year having to move the event base from the Leisure Centre up to Southwell Rugby Club. » Read more…

Office Closed - Clumber Park Duathlon

We have now closed the office and relocated for this weekends Clumber Park Duathlon. The event is now full & we are not taking any entries on the day.

This years event will be the biggest in its history, with over 1100 entries traveling from all parts of the UK. Athletes racing in the ’standard’ distance will also be racing for championship honors in the British Triathlon Federation National Champs. Both events are acting as qualifying event for both European and World Championships for the Great Britain Age Group Team.

Iain Hamilton wins Lifetime Achievement Award

At the 220 Triathlon Magazine Awards in Sandown Park, Iain was surprised and delighted to win the ‘Jane Tomlinson Award for outstanding contribution to triathlon’.

Jane Tomlinson, of course, provided inspiration to many many people as she battled through breast cancer to raise millions for charity through endurance sport and triathlon. To win an award in her name was a real honour.

Giving out the award, the team at 220 Triathlon highlighted some of Iain’s key contributions and achievements since first establishing One Step Beyond as part of a college project when he was 19 years old. » Read more…
