PROVISIONAL RESULTS FROM SOUTHWELL SPRINT TRIATHLON

Provisional results are available from todays Southwell Sprint Triathlon.

Andy Tarry, getting older but getting faster set a new course record of 46mins 33 secs, beating a certain Will Clarke old record by close to one minute. Second, and proving new life is coming through in the east midlands was 18 year old Tom Bishop, just 20 seconds behind Tarry overall. Third place, was Mark Couldwell, runner up in the recent National Elite Duathlon Champions, proving he can swim aswell.

In the womens event, local athlete, Hannah Mulcaster (Mansfield Tri Club) proved that a good winter makes all the difference to take the womens title from pre race favourites Emilie Verroken & Lou Collins.

The next race in the Timex Series is the Mansfield Sprint Triathlon in 2 weeks time on Sunday 18th May.
