Race Outlaw & help beat Cancer

Did you know that 2 out of 4 people survive cancer? With your help, we could increase this statistic to 3 in 4.

During April, Cancer Research UK is offering special entry to our newest Outlaw event in Holkham, North Norfolk on 3 July. You pay just £100 to enter if you can raise £100 for charity.

It’s still possible to claim your place on the start line of the award-winning Outlaw Triathlon on 24 July 2016. It may be sold out, but Cancer Research UK has places available.

Anyone who is already registered for these events is invited to join the CRUK fundraising team, and potentially be rewarded with a unique Outlaw fundraisers cycle jersey, see more below!

OUTLAW HALF HOLKHAM FOR £100

Instead of the usual entry fee of £142.50, it’s possible during April to enter for £100 if you pledge to raise £100 for charity.

If you fancy a middle distance race, covering a 1900m lake swim, 56mile bike ride and 13.1mile run, this could be a perfect way to experience our stunning new race location and help beat cancer sooner!

Entering a relay team will also be discounted by the same amount, £42.50, if you can hit £100 of fundraising.

OUTLAW 2016, YOU CAN STILL ENTER!

The Outlaw is set for 24 July in Nottingham. Although it’s sold out, you can still be part of the big day and there is plenty of time to train for it!

CRUK has places available for just £50 for those willing to raise vital funds for the charity. Find out more here.

The Outlaw will be televised by Channel4, and features a 2.4mile swim, 112mile bike ride and 26.2mile run.

Did you know that 2 out of 4 people survive cancer? In the next twenty years it is Cancer Research UK’s goal to increase this number to 3 in 4, but we need your help.

We know that you are already incredible athletes, and we think that you could be incredible fundraisers to. So, please join the fight against cancer, and join Team CRUK today. All you need to do to is set up a fundraising page, which you can do here and we’ll send you all the information you need.

If you join us we’ll be there to support you all the way. We can offer bespoke fundraising ideas and advice, and we’ll be there on race day to cheer you along and make sure you get to that finish line.

Also, if you manage to raise £250 or more, we’ll send you a CRUK cycling jersey. We’d love to have as many of you on the team as possible, so join today and we will beat cancer sooner.

25th Triathlon Relays - Open for entries

The Triathlon Relays will be held on the Bank Holiday weekend of 27/28 August. The perfect weekend to get club mates, friends and family together for a brilliant fun event, with a day to chill out and recover on the Monday!

Come and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Triathlon Relays with us! Back in the day when we launched the relays there were only 40 teams taking part, a lot of skimpy lycra and Iain, our race director, was just 18 years old and running the event as a college project.

This year’s event features men’s, women’s, mixed and open teams as well as the elite-style team relays on Sunday which were so popular and exciting to watch last year! » Read more…

Outlaw Half Holkham - Camping, Entertainment & Food!

With just over 15 weeks until the gates open on our brand new Outlaw Half event in Holkham, camping is now open and ready to be booked! This is one of only two occasions during the year that anyone can camp at Holkham, we are setting up the site specifically for athletes and their supporters to enjoy the race. There will be 200 pitches available for tents and camper vans, and there are plenty of toilets and hot showers. You can choose to add power hook ups as well. The camping spots are just a two minute walk to transition, meaning you can roll out of bed straight onto the course (almost…!)

Holkham 10k & 2.5k Dash

Coming soon to our weekend in Holkham is a brilliant 10k run and 2.5k Dash! The 2.5k Dash is a run for all abilities, adults and kids alike. With a fun and challenging out and back route, this is one to get the family involved in! The 10k will consist of a single lap course within the beautiful grounds of Holkham Hall. There will be a fantastic medal for all finishers of both races and a carpeted finish line, so you can bask in the glory of your achievement!

The Luna Cinema & Foodie Treats

As if a weekend of triathlon and running in a beautiful location isn’t enough, Holkham Hall are hosting the Luna Cinema over race weekend. In the setting of the walled gardens at Holkham, they’ll be showing two popular films for the big screen courtesy of the Luna Cinema. On the Friday Michael J Fox will be time travelling back to the 1950s in the classic sci-fi adventure ‘Back to the Future’. On the Saturday, there is the chance to ‘have the time of your life’ with the much-loved ‘Dirty Dancing’.

Great News for Cancer Research UK at the Cambridge Half Marathon!

Cancer Research UK are expecting to achieve upwards of £180,000 fundraised from the Cambridge Half Marathon 2016, which would make it the best year yet. If this is achieved, it would take the total income from the Cambridge Half Marathon over 5 years to over £750,000!
