Woodhall Spa Triathlon - fills in record time

There is no doubt that triathlon continues to increase in popularity. Not only have all of our long distance Outlaw Triathlon events filled to maximum capacity in record time but so have our novice pool swim events. With still over 6 weeks before the Woodhall Spa Triathlon, we have stopped taking entries as we have reached the capacity of 650 competitors.
As we do not operate waiting lists for our events, we would recommend that people wanting to take part in one of our events, then consider either The Nottingham Triathlon, one of the Rother Valley Triathlon events - children’s or sprint triathlon, women’s only triathlon or open water swim.
Entries are along coming in thick and fast for our end of season Last Minute Sprint Triathlon on September 14 based at Southwell.
Southwell Triathlon - provisional results

First two triathlons and two of the hottest days of the year. This years Southwell ‘with a twist’ Triathlon was simply great. With the first swimmers starting at 7.30am and the temperature was already over 15′ we knew we were in for a day of fast hot racing. Lucy Smith, making a trip back to her home town of Southwell easily won the women’s event with a 3 minute cushion. Carl Shaw, returned to defend his title, taking the victory by just under a minute from the ever young but now 45-49 Andy Tarry.
