Saucony Sprint Triathlon Series

Series Overview

One Step Beyond are pleased to announce that Saucony will become the headline sponsor of our Sprint Triathlon Series in 2009. The series will consist of four events during April & May.

Saucony have agreed to provide a fantastic selection of clothing, footwear and vouchers as prizes. These will be awarded to each category winner (see categories below) as well as 1 spot prize pack at each of the 4 series events.

Saucony Sprint Triathlon Series Events

Race 1 – Mansfield Triathlon, 5th April
Race 2 – David Lloyd Lincoln Triathlon, 26th April
Race 3 – Woodhall Spa Triathlon, 10th May
Race 4 – Southwell Triathlon, 24th May

Categories

The Saucony Sprint Triathlon Series will consist of 9 male and 8 female categories as outlined below:

Rules

We have kept the rules of the series as simple as possible:

1. Each competitor must compete in a minimum of 3 series events to be eligible for a Saucony series prize pack.
2. If a competitor competes in all four races the best 3 point hauls will be used for the series.
3. The competitor with the highest score (see scoring section) in each category will win the age group and subsequent prize.

Scoring

• Every competitor who enters any event will automatically be entered into the series and will receive a points score based on their finishing position at the event(s).
• Each competitor will receive a score based upon their overall finishing position in each event. Starting with 1000 points for 1st place, 999 for 2nd place 998 for 3rd place right through to the final competitor who completes the course.
• Each competitor’s score will then be taken into their age category. An example is outlined below:

Presentation

All prize presentations will be made directly after the final series ranking event, this being Southwell Triathlon on the 24th May. Any prize winners not present at this event will be sent their prize pack within 2 weeks of this date.
