Northamptonshire has got a lot to shout about. It’s a county at the heart of England and is one of the most exciting places to live, work and visit thanks to its beautiful and historic countryside, its dazzling cultural life and the vigour of its major towns.

The Run 09 - Northamptonshire is an iconic mass participation run / jog / walk that reflects all the great and good things about Northamptonshire, its ambitions, vision, growth, history and heritage, taking in the sights and sounds of the whole county but within the ‘Market City’ of Northampton. It will offer people of all abilities and sporting desires an achievable challenge and the opportunity to raise money for good causes.

Offering 5km and 10km courses, plus a series of Children’s Races, The Run 09 - Northamptonshire will offer something for everyone;

  • the enthusiast runner a tempting opportunity for a personal best on a closed road course
  • the recreational runner a challenging run in a great setting with lots of support
  • the charity jogger a unique opportunity to run for money in the heart of a town
  • the non-runner or jogger a really good reason to get out there and experience a memorable adventure with a unique blend of fitness, culture and music

So sign up today, persuade your friends and colleagues to join up with you and bring your family, children and relatives along on the day to come and cheer you on and perhaps join in with one of the other fun activities that will be running as well. See you on the 4th October !!!

  • The Minis (3-8 years) race will be 1k in distance (Adults can accompany children).
  • The Juniors (9-13 years) race will be 2k in distance.
  • For those aged 14 years & above entry into the 5k event will be permitted (Parent/Guardian consent will be required on the entry form if under 18 years).
  • For those aged 15 years and above entry into the 5k & 10km events will be permitted (Parent/Guardian consent will be required on the entry form if under 18 years).

Children’s Series

Running isn’t just for adults – it’s for kids too so why not make ‘The Run 09 - Northamptonshire’ a real family occasion.

The Run 09 - Northamptonshire will be offering separate contests for children aged 3 to 13 years with the same ‘race experience’ as the adults – closed, safe and secure routes with the start / finish at Sixfields Stadium. All entrants in the Mini and Junior races will get a free goodie bag and a medal for taking part.
