One Step Beyond - appointed to organise BUCS Championships
May 2, 2012
We are delighted to announce that One Step Beyond has been selected as the organisers of the 2012 BUCS Standard Distance Triathlon Championship and Super Sprint Triathlon.
The ‘British Universities & Colleges Sports’ Triathlon Championships will take place on Sunday 27th May, at the National Water Sports Centre, Holme Pierrepont Nottingham.
The format of the day will start with an Elite Drafting Standard Distance women’s event, followed by a mass participation Super Sprint Triathlon especially for people new to triathlon, with the final event of the day being the Men’s Elite Drafting Standard Championships.
Ed Curran, Sports Manager for BUCS said “We are really excited about the prospect of working with One Step Beyond to develop the BUCS Championships’ into a major UK event. Hosting the event at the National Water Sports Centre gives us the opportunity to have both elite drafting events as well as a mass participation super sprint to increase the numbers of BUCS members taking part in triathlons. The venue is perfect with all the events on the closed road traffic free roads & it is so spectator friendly, perfect for everyone to get involved.”
Entries for the championships are currently open via the BUCScore entry system. Click here for more details.

Is there an entry criteria for the standard distance, now that it is an elite drafting race or is it open to anyone?
Thanks
Hi Matt, Entry is via BUCS, so you will need to contact them directly. Cheers, Iain.
