Esendex Last Minute Sprint Tri - September 14 Entries Still Open

Entries are still available for our final pool swim sprint triathlon of the 2014 season - Esendex Last Minute Sprint Triathlon.

On Sunday 14 September, we will be back to our chosen route at Southwell Leisure Centre, which means no running on the grass, apart from the transition area anyway.

We have found over the years that this event attracts many of those competitors that have raced the same course earlier in the season at the Southwell Sprint Triathlon, returning to see how much they have improved during the season - the run distance will be the same but the surface will be better this time. The other thing that we have noticed is the Esendex Last Minute Sprint Triathlon also attracts a lot of first timers. We believe that people have been bombarded seeing triathlons on TV, at the local leisure centre, heard other triathletes bragging about this or that so have decided to have a go before hibernating over the winter.

And why not, this is a great event for all, seasoned triathletes or nervous novices alike. We use the identical distances that we use for the Southwell Sprint Triathlon -, the differences are this event is much more relaxed & the run route goes out onto the surrounding roads & not around the rugby club field. We like to think of it more like an end of season social gathering than a race.
