Outlaw Triathlon Places Are Limited - Already!

The Outlaw Triathlon is already half full, despite only having gone on sale last week. The new event is set to become Britain’s premier long distance triathlon race, with athletes covering the 2.4mile swim, 112mile bike ride and 26.2mile marathon run starting and finishing at Holme Pierrepont in Nottinghamshire on 8th August 2010.

1000 places are available, and half of those have already sold. There is also interest from organisations such as the Police to take a large number of entries. Sports Tours International has also reserved places to sell internationally.

We have been overwhelmed by the response so far and this underlines our belief that there was sufficient demand for such an event. The long distance race is recognised as the most grueling one day endurance race in the world, and we are really excited to put the Outlaw on in Nottingham, a city which has an exceptionally high sporting pedigree and already hosts events such as the National Relays.

We have been very fortunate that the city and county council in Nottingham have been so supportive of the event. We’re set to make exciting announcements over the next month regarding the exact details of the course, which will be spectator friendly and very fast!

We’ve also negotiated some excellent hotel rates across the city, which will enable athletes to access really good quality accommodation at budget prices.
